Project mechanical Engineer

Emmanuel Obuya is an accomplished Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical services design and project management. Currently, he serves as a Project Mechanical Engineer at Steadfirm Consortium Ltd. Emmanuel holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Mombasa.

He is a registered member of the Engineers Board of Kenya and the Institution of Engineers of Kenya.

In his role, Emmanuel excels in preparing concept designs, detailed designs, procurement documents, and tender evaluations.

He supervises construction works, manages contracts, prepares final accounts, trains client staff on operation and maintenance, and develops operation and maintenance manuals and “as built” drawings.

His responsibilities also include preparing monthly, final inspection, financial, and construction completion reports.

Professional Experience:

  • Steadfirm Consortium Ltd (2024 – Present): As a Project Mechanical Engineer, Emmanuel is involved in the preparation of concept designs for mechanical installations, project cost estimates, value engineering, detailed designs, construction drawings, tender documents, bills of quantities, tender reviews, and the review and approval of operation and maintenance documentation. He has contributed to projects like the Mira Residence – SIC Ruaka project.
  • Maiteri and Associates Ltd (2018 – 2023): As a Mechanical Engineer, Emmanuel worked on mechanical services CAD, Revit, and IFC designs, tender document preparation, tender analysis, contract administration, and supervision. He handled projects including Runda Garden townhouses, apartment blocks for Pemco Holdings, Qwetu Student Hostels for Rowan Properties LLP and Acacia Ville Development, and various facilities for Daystar University and the Ethiopian Embassy in Nairobi.
