Professional Experience:

• Steadfirm Consortium Ltd (2024 – Present): As a Design Technical Electrical Engineer, Simon prepares concept designs of mechanical installations, project cost estimates, detailed designs, construction drawings, tender documents, and reviews and analyzes tenders. He also prepares O&M documentation for clients. Projects include the Safaricom Investment Cooperative Housing project – Miran residence.
• Maiteri & Associates Ltd (2007 – 2023): As a Design Technical Electrical Engineer, Simon was involved in planning, designing, constructing, and commissioning electrical systems. He prepared specifications for electrical equipment, substations, and lighting, supervised electrical portfolios of new constructions, and prepared repair and maintenance manuals. Notable projects include the Proposed Britam Tower, Deloitte Place Office Block, and various residential developments.
• MJV Electric Ltd (2002 – 2006): As a Building Services Technical Assistant, Simon planned, designed, constructed, and commissioned electrical systems. He reviewed design drawings and specifications, prepared bills of quantities, technical specifications, schedules, reports, designs, and test scripts, and managed project costing and procurement. Projects included Lantana and Makindi blocks of apartments and Makueni headquarters.
• MAK Consulting Engineers (1997 – 2002): As an Assistant Electrical Engineer, Simon was involved in planning, designing, constructing, and commissioning electrical systems. He attended site meetings, supervised staff on construction sites, interpreted and applied electrical drawings, and worked with teams to provide quality electrical solutions.
